Our Day Out in Venice

This city is SO beautiful!

Who really drives a boat to work every day?

I couldn't believe that it was actually real! It was so beautiful how the sun played off the water and between the buildings.

We took a walk a little outside of the river so we could see what the rest of the city looked like. There were some great graphic aspects of the city that I bet many tourists don't ever see. We learned that the best spots to see are things that only the locals know about. So we went out of our way to go out of our way and find them. (and of course got lost in the process...)

I don't know how I got this picture but it was a sweet addition to the graphic-ness of Venice so I kept it.

This is so typically Italy from what I've always imagined. We all stopped and took pictures every time we saw socks and trousers hanging up outside the windows. It all reminds me to simplify my life and get rid of the useless clutter.

I loved this little blue window. I thought it really represented the charm and spontinaity of Venice.

We ate dinner at this great little restaurant right by the river. They had this book full of Venician masks and it was full of comments that people had written about their trips to Venice and that sweet spot. We took our turns and wrote in the book too. So I guess we each left our little mark on Italy.

The city lights reflecting on the river are so beautiful at night. We saw a lot of Murano and Venician glass so I kept my eyes peeled the rest of the time to find a necklace that caught a glimpse of Venice at night.
